DESCRIPTION:

The TSH321isa wideband monolithic operational
amplifier, requiringa minimum close loop gainof2
for stability.
The TSH321 features extremely high input imped-
ance (typically greater than1012Ω) allowing direct
interfacing with high impedance sources.
Low distortion, wide bandwidth and high linearity
make thisamplifier suitableforRF and video appli-
cations. Short circuit protectionis providedbyan
internal current-limiting circuit.
The TSH321 has internal electrostatic discharge
(ESD) protection circuits and fulfills MILSTD883C-
Class2.

EVALUATION CIRCUIT
for any high frequency device,a few rules must observedwhen designingthe PCBto getthe best
performancesfrom this high speedop amp.
Fromthe mosttothe least important points: Each power supply lead hastobe bypassed ground witha 10nF ceramic capacitor very
closetothe device anda 10μF tantalumca-
pacitor.To providelow inductance andlow resistance
common return, usea ground planeor com-
mon point returnfor power and signal.All leads mustbe wide andas shortas possi-
ble especiallyforop amp inputs. Thisisin
orderto decrease parasitic capacitance and
inductance. Use small resistor valuesto decrease time
constant with parasitic capacitance. Choose componentsizes assmall aspossible
(SMD). On output, decrease capacitor loadsoasto
avoid circuit stability being degraded which
may cause oscillation. One can also adda
serial resistorin orderto minimiseits influ-
ence. One can addin parallel with feedbackresistor fewpF ceramic capacitorCF adjustedto
optimizethe settling time.
