ThePLLconsistsofa lowpassfilter,a phasecompa-
rator,a loopfilter(with anexternalcapacitor).Theref-
erencesignalis thecontinuouscarrierwavefrom the
VCO (4.43MHz). The PLL adjusts the center fre-
quencyof the lowpass so thatitis equalto the
referencesignal.ThetuningvoltageofthePLLisused adjustall otherfilters. The clochefilteris finetuned
witha secondPLLoperatingduring frame retrace.

- VIDEO CIRCUIT2 RGB inputs: RGB (OSD) input has priorityagainst the RGBext. Maximum contraston RGB
(OSD). -12dB range contrast controlon RGBext.
Possibility to disable the RGBext insertion
throughthe bus. Oversize blanking capabilityon FB(OSD)(Pin15)
input. The RGB ouputs willbe blanked when the
voltageon Pin15 will exceed the second thresh-
oldat 1.9V (blanking threshold): the whole field blankedbutnot theinserted cut-offpulses. The
OSD insertion thresholdis 0.7V. Automatic cut-off current loop: 2V cut-off range.
Sequential cut-off current measurement during
the three lines after the frame blanking signal.
Leakage current measurement during the frame
blanking, memorizationonan internal capacitor. Warmup detector. Beam current limiter DC voltage input.
The beam current limiter control voltage will act contrast first, then the brightness will be de-
creasedwhen contrastattenuationreaches-5dB. Bus controlof the red, green and blue channel

5.1- VolumeControl and Mute

The volume controlvoltage rangeon Pin10is from
0.5Vto 5V. low voltageon Pin10 (below 0.2V) will mute the demodulatorof theIF circuit STV8224. will put thevolumeat theminimumlevel and thus
there willbeno soundeitherin TV modeor SCART
mode.
The volume control voltage and the mute level are
controlledby the bus.
5.2- IFStandard and TV/SCART Mode Selection

The selectionofIF standard (positiveor negative
visionmodulation)and theTV/SCARTmodeis con-
trolled bythe bus. Theselectionis convertedin four
voltageson Pin 21.
The lowest voltage selects the TV mode and the
NEGATIVE vision modulation.
The highest voltage (open collector output with
internal pull-up resistorto VCC) selects the SCART
mode and the NEGATIVE vision modulation.
The two other intermediate voltages select either mode and POSITIVE vision modulation or
SCART mode and POSITIVE vision modulation.
