The SN74AVC24T245is designed for asynchronous communication between data buses. The device transmits
data from theA busto theB bus or from theB busto theA bus, depending on the logic levelat the
direction-control (DIR) input. The output-enable (OE) input can be usedto disable the outputsso the buses are
effectively isolated.
The SN74AVC24T245is designedso that the control pins (1DIR, 2DIR, 3DIR, 4DIR, 5DIR, 6DIR, 1OE, 2OE,
3OE, 4OE, 5OE, and 6OE) are suppliedby VCCA.
This deviceis fully specified for partial-power-down applications using Ioff. TheIoff circuitry disables the outputs,
preventing damaging current backflow through the device whenitis powered down.
The VCC isolation feature ensures thatif either VCC inputisat GND, then both ports arein the high-impedance
state. ensure the high-impedance state during powerupor power down, OE should be tiedto VCCA througha pullup
resistor; the minimum valueof the resistoris determinedby the current-sinking capabilityof the driver.
