Applications
The NCP5392T providesuptoa four- -phase buck solution which
combines differential voltage sensing, differential phase current
sensing, and adaptive voltage positioningto provide accurately
regulated power for Intel processors.It also receives power saving
command (PSI) from CPU, and operatesina single phase emulation
diode modeto obtaina high efficiencyat light load. Dual- -edge
pulse- -width modulation (PWM) combined with precise inductor
current sensing provides the fastest initial responseto dynamic load
events both in power saving and normal modes. Dual- -edge
multiphase modulation reduces the total bulk and ceramic output
capacitance required therefore reducing the system costto meet
transient regulation specifications. high performance operational error amplifieris providedto
simplify compensationof the system. Dynamic Reference Injection
further simplifies loop compensation by eliminating the needto
compromise between closed- -loop transient response and Dynamic
VID performance. An enhancementof normal mode and PSI mode
operation has been achievedin NCP5392T both under heavy load
and light load conditionor the load changing.
