General Description
The MAX174 and the MX574A/MX674A are complete
12-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that combine
high speed. low-power consumption, and on-chip CLOCK
and voltage reference. The maximum conversion times
are 8ps (MAXIM), Ibps (MX674A) and 25ps (MX574A)
Maxim's BiCMOS construcnon reduces power dissipa-
hon 3 t'mes (150mW) over comparable devices The
internal buried zener reference provides low-drift ano
Iow-noise performance. Fxternal componem reouire-
ments are limited to only decomling capacitors and fixed
resistors. The versatue ana'og 'nput structure allows for
0V to -101/ or 0V to +20V unipolar or 15V or 110V bipolar
Input ranges with pin strapping.
The MAX174/MX574A/MX674A use standard micropro-
cessor interface architectures and can be interfaceo to
8-, 12- and 16-bity(ide buses. Three-state data outputs
are controlled by CS, CE and RIC logic inputs.
