MM78C30/MM88C30 Dual Differential Line Driver
General Description
The MM78C30/MM88C30isa dual differentialline driver
that also performsthe dual four-input NANDor dual four-in-
put AND function.The absenceofa clamp diodeto VCCin
the input protection circuitryofthe MM78C30/MM88C30al-
lowsa CMOS userto interface systems operatingat differ-
ent voltage levels. Thus,a CMOS digital signal sourcecan
operateata VCC voltage greater thanthe VCC voltageof
the MM78C30 line driver. The differential outputofthe
MM78C30/MM88C30 eliminates ground-loop errors.
The MM78C29/MM88C29isa non-inverting single-wire
transmissionline driver. Sincethe outputON resistanceisa
low 20X typ.,the devicecanbe usedto drive lamps, relays,
solenoids,and clock lines, besides driving data lines.
