General Description

The LP3981’s performanceis optimizedfor battery powered
systemsto deliver ultra low noise, extremely low dropout
voltage and low quiescent current. Regulator ground current
increases only slightlyin dropout, further prolonging the
battery life.
Power supply rejectionis better than60dBat low frequen-
cies. This high power supply rejectionis maintained downto
lower input voltage levels commonto battery operated cir-
cuits.
The deviceis idealfor mobile phone and similar battery
powered wireless applications.It providesupto 300 mA,
froma 2.5Vto6V input, consuming less than 1µAin disable
mode.
The LP3981is availablein MSOP-8 package. For LP3981in
LLP-6 package, contact NSC sales offices. Performanceis
specifiedfor −40˚Cto +125˚C temperature range. The de-
vice availablein the following output voltages; 2.5V, 2.7V,
2.8V, 2.83V, 3.0V, 3.03V and 3.3Vas standard. Other output
options canbe made available, please contact your local
NSC sales office.
