General DescriptionThe LMX2335, LMX2336 andLMX2337are monolithic,inte-
grated dual frequency synthesizers, includingtwo highfre-
quency prescalers,andare designedfor applications requir-
ingtwoRF phase-lock loops. Theyare fabricated using
National’s ABiCIV silicon BiCMOS process.
The LMX2335/36/37 containstwo dual modulus prescalers. 64/65ora 128/129 prescalercanbe selectedfor eachRF
synthesizer.A second reference divider chainis includedin
theICfor improved system noise. LMX2335/36/37, which
employ adigital phase locked loop technique, combinedwith high quality reference oscillatorand loopfilters, providethe
tuning voltagesfor voltage controlled oscillatorsto generate
very stablelow noiseRF local oscillator signals.
Serial dataistransferredintothe LMX2335/36/37 viaa three
wire interface (Data, Enable, Clock). Supply voltage can
range from 2.7Vto 5.5V. The LMX2335/36/37 feature very
low current consumption; LMX2335/37 −10 mAat 3V,
LMX2336 −13mAat3V. The LMX2335/37are availablein
botha JEDECSOand TSSOP 16-pin surface mount plastic
package.The LMX2336is availablein aTSSOP 20-pinsur-
face mount plastic package.
