DESCRIPTION

The deviceisa high voltage half bridge driver with
builtin oscillator. The frequencyof the oscillator can programmed using external resistor and capaci-
tor. The internal circuitryof the device allowsittobe
driven alsoby external logic signal.
The output drivers are designedto drive externaln-
channel power MOSFET and IGBT. The internal log- assuresa dead timeto avoid cross-conductionof
the power devices.
Two version are available: L6571A and L6571B.
They differin the internal dead time: 1.25μs and
0.72μs(typ.)

OSCILLATOR FREQUENCY

The frequencyof the internal oscillator canbe programmed using external resistor and capacitor.
The nominal oscillator frequency canbe calculated using the following equation:
WhereRF and CF are the external resistor and capacitor.
The device canbe drivenin "shut down" condition keeping theCF pin closeto GND, but some cares havetobe
taken: WhenCFisto GND the high side driverisoff and the low sideison The forced dischargeof the oscillator capacitorCF must notbe shorter than 1us:a simple waytodo thisisto
limit the current discharge witha resistive path imposingR·CF >1μs(see fig.1)
