ARRAY WITH4 I/Os.
The main applicationof thisdeviceistobe configu-
ratedasa4, bidirectional Transil Arrayas per the
Pin-outof Fig5.
Pins5 and8 are connectedto ground.
INPUTS/OUTPUTS are from Pin1to Pin4.
Note: Thebidirectional functionis made with2 uni-
directional Transils. One (T1)is connectedto the
INPUT/OUTPUT, the other one (T2)is connected the ground (see Fig5).
Groundis connectedvia2 diodesT2 andT3.
Thisallowsto withstand2 specifiedsurgeson2 dif-
ferent linesat thesame time.
UTILIZATION ASA BIDIRECTIONAL TRANSIL
ARRAY WITH5 I/Os.
The ITAxxC1 can be used asa5 bidirectional
Transil Array.
Groundcanbe connectedto any pin (except6 and
7).
The other pins are used as INPUTS and OUT-
PUTS.
The bidirectional functionis made with2 unidirec-
tional Transils T1 and T2. One example with
groundon Pin8is shownin Fig6.
This configuration allowsto withstand only one
specifiedsurgeat the same time.
INSTRUCTIONGUIDE

This monolithicTransil Arrayis basedon6 UnidirectionalTransilswitha common cathodeand canbe con-
figuratedto offer4 or5 bidirectionalfunctions, accordingto the following customerapplication.
