FMS6346 Six Channel, 6th Order SD/HD Video Filter Driver July 2005 FMS6346 th Six Channel, 6 Order SD/HD Video Filter Driver Features Description ■ Three selectable sixth-order 8/32MHz (SD/HD) filters The FMS6346 Low Cost Video Filter (LCVF) is intended to replace passive LC filters and drivers with a low-cost integrated ■ Three fixed sixth-order 8MHz (SD) filters device. Six 6th order Butterworth filters provide improved image ■ Transparent input clamping quality compared to typical passive solutions. The combination ■ Single video load drive (2Vpp, 150Ω, A = 6dB) V of low power Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) ■ AC or DC-coupled inputs filters greatly simplify DVD video output circuitry. Three chan- ■ AC or DC-coupled outputs nels offer fixed SD filters while the other three are selectable between SD and HD filters. ■ DC-coupled outputs eliminate AC-coupling capacitors ■ Low Power The FMS6346 offers a fixed gain of 6dB. A metal option is avail- able that provides a fixed gain of 9dB, offering even more flexi- ■ 5V only bility. ■ Robust (12kV HBM) output ESD protection ■ Lead (Pb) Free packages - TSSOP-20 The FMS6346 may be directly driven by a DC-coupled DAC out- put or an AC-coupled signal.
