General Description

The DS90LV031Aisa quadCMOS differentialline driverde-
signedfor applications requiring ultralow power dissipation
and high data rates.The deviceis designedto support data
ratesin excessof400 Mbps (200MHz) utilizing Low Voltage
Differential Signaling (LVDS) technology.
The DS90LV031A acceptslow voltage TTL/CMOS inputlev-
elsand translates themtolow voltage (350 mV) differential
output signals.In additionthe driver supportsa TRI-STATE®
functionthat maybe usedto disablethe output stage,dis-
ablingthe load current,and thus droppingthe devicetoan
ultralowidle power stateof13 mW typical.
TheENandEN* inputs allow active Lowor active High con-
trolofthe TRI-STATE outputs.The enablesare commonto
all four drivers. The DS90LV031Aand companionlinere-
ceiver (DS90LV032A) providea new alternativeto high
power psuedo-ECL devicesfor high speed point-to-pointin-
terface applications.
