Synchronous Presettable BCD Decade Counters
General Description
The ’LS160and ’LS162are high speed synchronous dec-
ade counters operatinginthe BCD (8421) sequence. They
are synchronouslypresettablefor applicationin programma-
ble dividersand havetwo typesof Count Enable inputsplus Terminal Count outputfor versatilityin forming synchro-
nous multistage counters. The’LS160hasan asynchronous
MasterReset inputthat overridesall other inputsand forces
the outputs LOW. The ’LS162 hasa Synchronous Reset
inputthat overrides countingand parallel loadingand allows
all outputstobe simultaneously resetonthe rising edgeof
the clock.
