1.3 DescriptionThe TPS65910 deviceis an integrated power-management IC available in 48-QFN package and
dedicatedto applications powered by one Li-Ionor Li-Ion polymer battery cellor 3-series Ni-MH cells,ora 5-V input;it requires multiple power rails. The device provides three step-down converters, one step- converter, and eight LDOs andis designedto support the specific power requirementsof OMAP-based
applications.
Twoof the step-down converters provide power for dual processor cores and are controllable bya
dedicated class-3 SmartReflex interface for optimum power savings. The third converter provides power
for the I/Os and memoryin the system.
The device includes eight general-purpose LDOs providinga wide range of voltage and current
capabilities. The LDOs are fully controllableby theI2C interface. The useof the LDOsis flexible; they are
intendedto be usedas follows: Two LDOs are designatedto power the PLL and video DAC supply rails the OMAP-based processors, four general-purpose auxiliary LDOs are availableto provide powerto
