General Description
The TP5089isalow threshold voltage, field-implanted,met- gate CMOS integrated circuit.It interfaces directlytoa
standard telephone keypadand generates alldualtone mul-
ti-frequency pairs requiredin tone-dialing systems. Thetone
synthesizersare lockedtoan on-chip reference oscillator
usingan inexpensive 3.579545 MHz crystalfor high tone
accuracy. The crystal andan output load resistorarethe
only external components requiredfor tone generation.A
MUTE OUT logic signal, which changes state whenanykey depressed,is also provided.
