DescriptionThe TMP20 deviceisa CMOS, precision analog
output temperature sensor availablein the tiny SOT-
563 package. The TMP20 operates from –55°Cto
+130°C ona supply voltageof 2.7Vto 5.5V witha
supply currentof4 µA. Operationas low as 1.8Vis
possible for temperatures between 15°C and 130°C.
The linear transfer function hasa slopeof –11.77
mV/°C (typical) and an output voltageof 1.8639V
(typical)at 0°C. The TMP20 hasa ±2.5°C accuracy
across the entire specified temperature range of
–55°Cto +130°C.
The 4-µA (maximum) supply currentof the TMP20
limits self-heatingof the deviceto less than 0.01°C.
When V+is less than 0.5 V, the deviceis in
shutdown mode and consumes less than 20 nA
(typical).
The TMP20is availableina 5-lead SC70or 6-lead
SOT-563 package that reduces the overall required
board space.
