The SN74ALVCH16271is intended for applicationsin
which two separate data paths must be multiplexed
onto,or demultiplexed from,a single data path. This
device is particularly suitable as an interface
between conventional DRAMs and high-speed
microprocessors. datais stored the internal A-to-B registerson the
low-to-high transition of the clock (CLK) input,
provided that clock-enable (CLKENA) inputs are
low. Proper of these inputs allows two
sequential 12-bit wordsto be presented asa 24-bit
wordon theB
Transparent in the B-to-A path allow
asynchronousto maximize memory access
throughput. These latches transfer data when the
latch-enable inputs are low. The select (SEL)
line selects 1B 2B data for theA outputs. Data flow controlled active-low output enables (OEA,
OEB).
line space ensure the state during power upor down, the output enables should be tiedtoVCCthrougha pullup resistor; the minimum valueof the resistor determinedby the current-sinking capabilityof the
driver.
Active bus-hold holds unusedor undriven inputs valid logic state. Useof pullupor pulldown resistors
with the bus-hold circuitryis not recommended.
