General DescriptionThe SCANSTA476isa low power, mixed-signal test and
measurement device which uses the IEEE 1149.1 (JTAG)
interfaceto accessupto8 analog/mixed-signal input chan-
nels. The SCANSTA476 usesa CMOS 12-bit analog-to-
digital converter. Eachof the eight multiplexed input chan-
nelsis selectablefor samplingviaan instruction loadedto
the JTAG Test Access Port (TAP). The analog valueof the
selected inputis convertedtoa 12-bit digital value and
storedina JTAG TAP register. The resulting measurement
maybe scanned outofthe register thruthe JTAG TAP.
The SCANSTA476 usesthe VREF inputasa reference. This
enables the SCANSTA476to operate witha full-scale input
rangeof0to VDD. The conversion rateis determined from
the test clock (TCK) speed. The SCANSTA476is operated
witha single supply that can range from +2.7Vto +5.5V. The
SCANSTA476is packagedina 16-lead non-pullback LLP
package that providesan extremely small footprintfor appli-
cations where spaceisa critical consideration. This product
operates over the industrial temperature rangeof −40˚Cto
+85˚C.
