DESCRIPTIONThe PTV12020 seriesof nonisolated power modules are partofa new classof complete dc/dc switching
regulator modules from Texas Instruments. These regulators combine high performance with double-sided,
surface mount constructionto give designers the flexibilityto power the most complex multiprocessor digital
systems using off-the-shelf catalog parts.
The PTV12020 seriesis producedina 12-pin, single in-line pin (SIP) package. The SIP footprint minimizes board
space, and offersan alternate package optionfor space conscious applications. Operating froma 12-V input bus, conversiontoa wide rangeof output voltages,atupto16Aof output current. The canbe setto any value over the rangeof 1.2Vto 5.5V. The L-suffix partsto 1.8V. The output voltageis set usinga single external resistor. Auto-Track™ simplifies the taskof supply-voltage sequencingina power modules other,or any external voltage, on/off inhibit, and the abilityto start up output voltageor an output voltage senseis provided.A nonlatching overcurrent
