regulator modules from Texas Instruments. These modules combine high performance with double-sided,
surface mount constructionto give designers the flexibilityto power the most complex multiprocessor digital
systems using off-the-shelf catalog parts.
The PTV12010 seriesis producedin an 8-pin, single in-line pin (SIP) package. The SIP footprint minimizes
board space, and offers an alternate package option for space conscious applications. Operating froma 12-V
input bus, the series provides step-down conversiontoa wide rangeof output voltages,at upto8Aof output
current. The output voltageof the W-suffix parts canbe setto any value over the rangeof 1.2Vto 5.5V. The
L-suffix parts have an adjustment rangeof 0.8Vto 1.8V. The output voltageis set usinga single external
resistor.
This series includes Auto-Track™. Auto-Track™ simplifies the taskof supply-voltage sequencingina power
system by enabling the output voltageof multiple modulesto accurately track each other,or any external
voltage, during powerup and power down.
