Operating from eithera 3.3-V, 5-Vor 12-Vinput, the modules generatea VTT output that will sourceor sinkupto6Aof current(8A transient)to accuratelytrack their VREF input. VTTis the required bus termination supply voltage, and VREFis the reference voltage forthe memory and chipset bus receiver comparators. VREFis usually setto half the VDDQ power supply voltage.
Both the PTHxx050Y series employsan actively switched synchronous rectifier outputto provide state-of-the-artstepdown switching conversion. The products are smallin size (0.87in× 0.5 in), and arean ideal choice wherespace, performance, and high efficiency are desired, along with the convenienceofa ready-to-use module.
Operating features include an on/off inhibit and output over-current protection (source mode only). The on/offinhibit feature allows the VTT bustobe turnedoffto save powerina standby modeof operation.
Package options include both throughhole and surface mount configurations.
