General Description
These high speed Octal D-Type Flip-Flops utilize advanced
silicon-gateCMOS technology.They possessthe high noise
immunity andlow power consumptionof standard CMOS
integrated circuits,as wellasthe abilityto drive15 LS-TTL
loads. Duetothe large output drive capabilityandthe TRI-
STATE feature, these devicesare ideally suitedfor interfac-
ing withbus linesinabus organized system.
These devicesare positive edge triggered flip-flops. Dataat
theD inputs, meetingthe setup andhold time requirements,
are transferredto theQ outputson positive goingtransitionsthe CLOCK (CK) input. Whena high logic levelis appliedthe OUTPUT CONTROL (OC) input,all outputsgotoa
high impedance state, regardlessof what signalsare pres-
entatthe other inputs andthe stateofthe storage ele-
ments.
The 54HC/74HC logic familyis speed, function,and pinout
compatible withthe standard 54LS/74LS logic family.All
inputsare protected from damagedueto staticdischargeby
internal diode clampsto VCCand ground.
