General Description
The LP8345 low-dropout CMOS linear regulator are avail-
ablein 5V, 3.3V, 2.5V, 1.8Vor adjustable output versions.
Packagedin our 6ld LLP package and3ld DPAK they can
deliverupto 500mA output current.
Typical dropout voltage@ 500mAis 210mVfor the 5.0V
version, 270mVforthe 3.3V version and 335mVforthe 2.5V
version.
The devices includea zener trimmed bandgap voltage ref-
erence, foldback current limiting and thermal overload limit-
ing.
The LP8345 featuresa PMOS output transistor which unlike
PNP type low dropout regulators requiresno base drive
current. This allowsthe device ground currentto remain less
than 50µA over operating temperature, supply voltage and
irrespectiveofthe load current.
