General DescriptionThe LP3992 regulatoris designedto meetthe requirements portable, battery-powered systems providingan accurate
output voltage, low noise, and low quiescent current. Battery
lifewillbe prolongedbythe abilityofthe LP3992to provide 1.5V output fromthe low input voltageof 1.9V. Additionally,
when switchedtoa shutdown modeviaa logic signalat the
shutdown pin,the power consumptionis reducedto virtually
zero. The LP3992 also features short-circuit and thermal-
shutdown protection.
The LP3992is designedtobe stable with space saving
ceramic capacitorsas smallas 1.0µF.
The deviceis availableinan SOT23-5 package. Perfor-
manceis specifiedfora -40˚Cto 125˚C temperature range.
