General DescriptionThe LP3933isa complete lighting management system
designedfor portable wireless applications.It containsa
boost DC/DC converter,4 white-LED driversto drive the
main LCD panel backlight,2 white-LED driversfor the sub-
LCD panel and two setsof RGB/FLASH LED drivers.
Both backlight drivers have8-bit constant current drivers that
are separately adjustable and matchedto 0.5% (typ.). The
RGB LED driversare PWM-driven with programmable color,
intensity and blinking patterns.In addition, they featurea
FLASH functionto support picture taking with camera-
enabled cellular phones. efficient magnetic boost DC/DC converter provides the
required biasfor LEDs, operating froma single Li-Ion bat-
tery. The DC/DC converter output voltageis user program-
mable from 4.1Vto 5.3Vfor adaptingto different LED types
andfor efficiency optimization.All functions are software
controllable througha SPI interface and19 internal registers.
