General DescriptionThe LP3878isa 800 mA fixed-output voltage regulator
designedto provide high performance and low noisein
applications requiring output voltages between 1.0V and
1.2V.
Output noise canbe reducedto 18µV (typical)by connecting external10nF capacitortothe bypass pin.
Usingan optimized VIP™ (Vertically Integrated PNP) pro-
cess, the LP3878 delivers superior performance:
Ground Pin Current: Typically5 mA@ 800 mA load, and
180µA@ 100µA load.
Sleep Mode: The LP3878 draws less than2.0µA quiescent
current when shutdownpinis pulled low.
Precision Output: Guaranteed output voltage accuracyisat room temperature.
