General DescriptionThe LP2957isa5V micropower voltage regulator with elec-
tronic shutdown, error flag, very low quiescent current
(150μA typicalat1mA load),and verylow dropout voltage
(470mV typicalat250mA load current).
Outputcanbe wiredfor snap-on/snap-off operationto elimi-
nate transition voltage states whereμP operation maybeun-
predictable.
Output crowbar(50mA typical pull-down current)will bring
downthe output quickly whenthe regulator snapsoffor
whenthe shutdown functionis activated.
The part has tightlineand load regulation (0.04% typical)
andlow output temperature coefficient(20 ppm/˚C typical).
The accuracyofthe5V outputis guaranteedat room tem-
peratureand overthefull operating temperature range.
The LP2957is availableinthe five-lead TO-220and TO-263
packages.
