General Description
The LMX2335, LMX2336and LMX2337aremonolithic, inte-
grated dual frequency synthesizers, includingtwo highfre-
quencyprescalers,andare designed forapplicationsrequir-
ingtwoRF phase-lock loops. Theyare fabricated usingNa-
tional’s ABiCIV silicon BiCMOS process.
The LMX2335/36/37 contains two dual modulus prescal-
ers.A 64/65ora 128/129 prescaler canbe selectedfor
eachRF synthesizer.A second reference divider chainis
includedin the IC for improved system noise.
LMX2335/36/37, which employa digital phase locked loop
technique, combined witha high quality reference oscillator
and loop filters, providethe tuning voltagesfor voltage con-
trolledoscillatorsto generate very stablelow noiseRF local
oscillator signals.
Serial datais transferred intothe LMX2335/36/37viaa
three wire interface (Data, Enable, Clock). Supply voltage
can range from 2.7Vto 5.5V.The LMX2335/36/37 feature
verylow current consumption; LMX2335/37 b10mAat3V,
LMX2336 b13mAat3V.The LMX2335/37are availablein
botha JEDECSOand TSSOP 16-pin surface mount plastic
package. The LMX2336is availableina TSSOP 20-pinsur-
face mount plastic package.
