General Description
The LMX2314andthe LMX2315are high performancefre-
quencysynthesizers withintegrated prescalers designedfor operationupto1.2 GHz. Theyare fabricated usingNa-
tional’s ABiCIV BiCMOS process.
The LMX2314andthe LMX2315 contain dual moduluspre-
scalers which canselect eithera 64/65ora 128/129 divide
ratioat input frequenciesofupto1.2 GHz. Usinga proprie-
tary digital phase locked loop technique,the LMX2314/15’s
linear phase detector characteristicscan generate verysta-
ble,low noise local oscillator signals.
Serial datais transferred into the LMX2314 and the
LMX2315viaa threeline MICROWIRETM interface (Data,
Enable, Clock). Supply voltagecan rangefrom 2.7V to5.5V.
The LMX2314 andthe LMX2315 feature verylow current
consumption, typically6mAat3V.
The LMX2314is availableina JEDEC 16-pin surface mount
plastic package. The LMX2315is availableina TSSOP
20-pin surface mount plastic package.
