General Description
The LMX2305isa high performance frequency synthesizer
withan integrated prescalerdesignedforRF operationupto
550 MHz.Itis fabricated using National’s ABiCIV BiCMOS
process.
The LMX2305 containsa dual modulus prescaler whichcan
select eithera 64/65ora 128/129 divide ratioat inputfre-
quenciesofupto550 MHz. LMX2305, which employsthe
digital phase lock loop technique, combined witha high
quality reference oscillator anda loop filter, providesthe
tuning voltageforthe voltage controlled oscillatorto gener-
atea very stable,low noise local oscillator signal.
Serial datais transferredintothe LMX2305viaa threeline
MICROWIRETM interface (Data, Enable, Clock). Supply volt-
agecan range from 2.65Vto 5.5V. The LMX2305 features
verylow current consumption, typically4.0mAat 2.75V.
The LMX2305is availableina TSSOP 20-pin surface mount
plastic package.
