General Description
The LMX2301isa high performance frequency synthesizer
designedforRF operationupto 160 MHz.Itis fabricated
using National’s ABiCIV BiCMOS process.
LMX2301, which employsthe digital phase lock loop tech-
nique, combinedwitha high quality reference oscillatorand loop filter, providesthe tuning voltageforthe voltage con-
trolled oscillatorto generatea very stable,low noise local
oscillator signal.
Serial datais transferredintothe LMX2301viaa threeline
MICROWIRETM interface (Data, Enable, Clock). Supply volt-
agecan range from 2.7Vto 5.5V.
The LMX2301 features verylow current consumption, typi-
cally2mAat3V.
The LMX2301is availableina TSSOP 20-pin surface mount
plastic package.
