General DescriptionThe LMX1600/01/02is partofa familyof monolithic inte-
grated dual frequency synthesizers designedtobe usedina
local oscillator subsystemfora radio transceiver.Itis fabri-
cated using National’s 0.5u ABiCV silicon BiCMOS process.
The LMX1600/01/02 contains two dual modulus prescalers,
four programmable counters, two phase detectors and two
selectable gain charge pumps necessaryto provide the
control voltagefor two external loop filters and VCO loops.
Digital filtered lock detectsfor both PLLs are included. Data transferred into the LMX1600/01/02viaa MICROWIRE™
serial interface (Data, Clock, LE).
VCC supply voltage can range from 2.7Vto 3.6V. The
LMX1600/01/02 features very low current consumption-
typically 4.0 mAat 3V for LMX1601, 5.0 mAat 3V for
LMX1600or LMX1602. Powerdownforthe PLLis hardware
controlled.
The LMX1600/01/02is availableina16pin TSSOP surface
mount plastic package.
