DescriptionThe LMV221isa 40-dB RF power detector intended
for usein CDMA and WCDMA applications. The
device has an RF frequency range from 50 MHzto
3.5 GHz.It provides an accurate temperature and
supply-compensated output voltage that relates
linearlyto the RF input powerin dBm. The circuit
operates witha single supply from 2.7Vto 3.3V.
The LMV221 has an RF power detection range from
−45 dBmto −5 dBm andis ideally suited for direct
usein combination witha 30-dB directional coupler.
Additional low-pass filteringof the output signal can achieved by meansof an external resistor and
capacitor. showsa detector with an additional output
low pass filter. The filter frequencyis set with RS and
CS.
showsa detector with an additional feedback low
pass filter. Resistor RPis optional and lowers the
trans-impedance gain (RTRANS). The filter frequencyis
set with CP//CTRANS and RP//RTRANS.
The deviceis active for Enable= High, otherwiseitisa low power consumption shutdown mode. To save
power and prevent discharge of an external filter
capacitance, the output (OUT)is high-impedance
during shutdown.
