currentina lower cost molded package. avoid long turn-on settling times commonin other low
input current opamps,the LMC6001Ais tested3 timesinthe
first minuteof operation. Even units that meet the25fA limit
are rejectedif they drift.
Becauseof the ultra-low input current noiseof 0.13 fA/√Hz,
the LMC6001 can provide almost noiseless amplificationof
high resistance signal sources. Adding only1dBat 100 kΩ,
0.1dBat1 MΩ and 0.01dBor less from10 MΩto 2,000 MΩ,
the LMC6001isan almost noiseless amplifier.
The LMC6001is ideally suitedfor electrometer applications
requiring ultra-low input leakage suchas sensitive photode-
tection transimpedance amplifiers and sensor amplifiers.
Since input referred noiseis only22 nV/√Hz,the LMC6001
can achieve higher signalto noise ratio than JFET input type
electrometer amplifiers. Other applicationsofthe LMC6001
include long interval integrators, ultra-high input impedance
instrumentation amplifiers, and sensitive electrical-field mea-
surement circuits.
