General Description
The LM9801isa high performance integrated signal proc-
essor/digitizerfor linear CCD image scanners.The LM9801
performsallthe analog processing (correlated double sam-
plingfor black leveland offset compensation, pixel-by-pixel
gain (shading) correction,and 8-bit analog-to-digital conver-
sion) necessaryto maximizethe performanceofa wide
rangeof linear CCD sensors.
The LM9801canbe digitally programmedto work witha
wide varietyof CCDs from different manufacturers.An inter-
nal configuration register sets CCDand sampling timingto
maximize performance, simplifyingthe designand manufac-
turing processes.
The LM9801canbe used with parallel output color CCDs.A
signal inversion mode easesuse withCISsensors.For com-
plementary voltage referenceseethe LM4041.
