General DescriptionThe LM4862isa bridge-connected audio power amplifier
capableof delivering typically 675mWof continuous average
powertoan 8Ω load with 1% THD+N froma 5V power
supply.
Boomer audio power amplifiers were designed specificallyto
provide high quality output power witha minimal amountof
external components. Since the LM4862 does not require
output coupling capacitors, bootstrap capacitors,or snubber
networks,itis optimally suitedfor low-power portable sys-
tems.
The LM4862 featuresan externally controlled, low-power
consumption shutdown mode,as wellasan internal thermal
shutdown protection mechanism.
The unity-gain stable LM4862 canbe configuredby external
gain-setting resistors.
