General Description
The LM4862isa bridge-connected audio power amplifier
capableof delivering400mWof continuous average poweran8X load with less than1% (THD) froma5V power
supply.
Boomer audio power amplifiers were designed specifically provide high quality output powerwitha minimal amount external components. Sincethe LM4862 doesnot require
output couplingcapacitors, bootstrapcapacitors,or snubber
networks,itis optimally suitedfor low-power portable sys-
tems.
The LM4862 featuresan externally controlled, low-power
consumption shutdown mode,aswellasan internal thermal
shutdown protection mechanism.
The unity-gain stable LM4862canbe configuredby external
gain-setting resistors.
