General DescriptionThe LM4842isa monolithic integrated circuit that provides volume control, and stereo bridged audio power amplifi-
ers capableof producing 2W into 4Ω (Note1)or 2.2W into (Note2) with less than 1.0% THD+N.
Boomer® audio integrated circuits were designed specifically provide high quality audio while requiringa minimum
amountof external components. The LM4842 incorporatesa volume control, stereo bridged audio power amplifiers,
new cap-less headphone driver circuit (patent pending), se-
lectable gainor bass boost, andan input mux makingit
optimally suitedfor multimedia monitors, portable radios,
desktop, and portable computer applications.
The LM4842 featuresan externally controlled, low-power
consumption shutdown mode (Shutdown Low), and botha
power amplifier and headphone mutefor maximum system
flexibility and performance.
Note1: When properly mountedtothe circuit board,the LM4842MHwill
