General DescriptionThe LM4831isa monolithicintegrated circuitthat providesa
stereo threeinputmixer,two stereo input analog multiplexer, stereolineoutanda dual1W bridged audio power ampli-
fier.In addition,alow noise microphone preampis included
on-chip.
The LM4831is idealfor multimedia computers sinceit incor-
poratesan input mixer, analog multiplexer,and configurable
stereo audio power amplifier,as wellasa microphone
preamp stage. This combination allowsforallofthe analog
audio processingtobe enclosedina 44-pin TQFP package.
The LM4831 featuresan externally controlled, low-power
consumption shutdown mode,as wellas both headphone
and docking station modes.To temporarily overridethe shut-
down mode and allow audio signalstobe amplified,the
LM4831 provides four “beep” pins.
