General DescriptionThe LM397isa single voltage comparator withan input
common mode that includes ground. The LM397is designed operate froma single5Vto 30V power supplyora split
power supply.Its low supply currentis virtually independentthe magnitudeofthe supply voltage.
The LM397 featuresan open collector output stage. This
allows the connectionofan external resistorat the output.
The output can directly interface with TTL, CMOS and other
logic levels,by tying the resistorto different voltage levels
(level translator).
The LM397is availablein space saving SOT23-5 package
and pin compatibleto TI’s TL331, single differential com-
parator.
