Low Power Low Offset Voltage Dual Comparators
General DescriptionThe LM193 series consistsof two independent precision
voltage comparators withan offset voltage specificationas
lowas 2.0 mV maxfor two comparators which were de-
signed specificallyto operate froma single power supply
overa wide rangeof voltages. Operation from split power
suppliesis also possible and the low power supply current
drainis independentof the magnitudeof the power supply
voltage. These comparators also havea unique characteris-
ticin that the input common-mode voltage range includes
ground, even though operated froma single power supply
voltage.
Application areas include limit comparators, simple analogto
digital converters; pulse, squarewave and time delay gen-
erators; wide range VCO; MOS clock timers; multivibrators
and high voltage digital logic gates. The LM193 series was
designedto directly interface with TTL and CMOS. When
operated from both plus and minus power supplies, the
LM193 series will directly interface with MOS logic where
their low power drainisa distinct advantage over standard
comparators.
The LM393 and LM2903 parts are availablein National’s
innovative thin micro SMD package with8 (12 mil) large
bumps.
