General DescriptionThe LM384isa power audio amplifierfor consumer applica-
tions.In orderto hold system costtoa minimum, gainis
internally fixedat34 dB.A unique input stage allows ground
referenced input signals. The output automatically self-
centersto one-half the supply voltage.
The outputis short-circuit proof with internal thermal limiting.
The package outlineis standard dual-in-line.A copper lead
frameis used with the center three pinson either side
comprisinga heat sink. This makesthe device easyto usein
standard p-c layout.
Uses include simple phonograph amplifiers, intercoms, line
drivers, teaching machine outputs, alarms, ultrasonic driv-
ers,TV sound systems, AM-FM radio, sound projector sys-
