General Description
The LM136-5.0/LM236-5.0/LM336-5.0 integrated circuits
are precision 5.0V shunt regulator diodes. These monolithic voltage references operateasalow temperature coeffi-
cient 5.0V zener with 0.6X dynamic impedance.A thirdter-
minalonthe LM136-5.0 allowsthe reference voltageand
temperature coefficienttobe trimmed easily.
The LM136-5.0 seriesis usefulasa precision 5.0Vlow volt-
age referencefor digital voltmeters, power suppliesorop
amp circuitry.The 5.0V makesit convenientto obtainasta-
ble reference fromlow voltage supplies. Further, sincethe
LM136-5.0 operatesasa shunt regulator,itcanbe usedas
eithera positiveor negative voltage reference.
The LM136-5.0is ratedfor operation over b55§Cto
a125§C whilethe LM236-5.0is rated overa b25§Cto
a85§C temperature range.The LM336-5.0is ratedfor oper-
ation overa 0§Cto a70§C temperature range.Seethe con-
