LM111/LM211/LM311 Voltage Comparator
General Description
The LM111, LM211 and LM311are voltage comparators
that have input currents nearlya thousand times lower than
deviceslikethe LM106or LM710. Theyare also designed operate over awider rangeof supply voltages: from stan-
dard g15Vop amp supplies downtothe single5V supply
usedforIC logic. Their outputis compatible with RTL, DTL
and TTLas wellas MOS circuits. Further, theycan drive
lampsor relays, switching voltagesupto 50Vat currentsas
highas50 mA.
Both theinputs andthe outputsofthe LM111, LM211orthe
LM311canbe isolated from system ground,andthe output
candrive loads referredto ground,the positive supplyorthe
negative supply. Offset balancingand strobe capabilityare
providedand outputscanbe wire OR’ed. Although slower
thanthe LM106 and LM710 (200ns response timevsns)the devicesare also much less proneto spurious
oscillations.The LM111hasthe samepin configurationas
the LM106and LM710.
The LM211is identicaltothe LM111, except thatits per-
formanceis specified overa b25§Cto a85§C temperature
range insteadof b55§Cto a125§C.The LM311hasa tem-
perature rangeof 0§Cto a70§C.
