General DescriptionThe LM2753is capableof drivinga Flash LED witha pulsed
currentof 400mAatan input voltageof 3.6V.A switched
capacitor doubler, the LM2753 providesa regulated5V out-
put (VOUT) overan input supply rangeof 3.0Vto 5.5V. The
switched output, IOUT, takes less than 10nsto turnon and
provide maximum currenttoa Flash LED. Flash LED currentsetviaa ballast resistor. Continuous illumination current
(Torch Mode)is programmedby connectinga resistor be-
tween IOUT and VOUT. This device uses only three small,
low-cost ceramic capacitors.
LM2753 uses Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) regula-
tion. Typical operating frequencyis 725kHz. Under no-load
conditions, LM2753 operateson only 60µA.If the outputis
connectedto ground,the charge pump staysinthe gainof1
