General DescriptionThe LM2725/LM2726isa familyof dual MOSFET drivers
that can drive boththetop MOSFET and bottom MOSFETin push-pull structure simultaneously.It takesa logic level
PWM input and splitsit into two complimentary signals with typical 20ns dead timein between. The built-in
shoot-through protection circuitry preventsthe top and bot-
tom FETs from turningon simultaneously. Witha bias volt-
ageof 5V, the peak sourcing and sinking currentfor each
driverofthe LM2725is about 1.2A and thatofthe LM2726is
about 3A.Inan SO-8 package, each driveris ableto handle
50mA average current. Input UVLO
(Under-Voltage-Lock-Out) ensures thatallthe driver outputs
stay low untilthe supplyrail exceedsthe power-on threshold
during system power on,or afterthe supplyrail drops below
power-on thresholdbya specified hysteresis during system
power down. The cross-conduction protection circuitry de-
tects boththe driver outputs andwillnot turnona driver until
the other driver outputis low. The top gate bias voltage
neededby the top MOSFET canbe obtained throughan
external bootstrap structure. Minimum pulse widthisas low 55ns.
