DescriptionThe LM2665 CMOS charge-pump voltage converter
operates asa voltage doubler for an input voltagein
the rangeof 2.5Vto 5.5V. Two low-cost capacitors
anda diode (needed during start-up) are usedin this
circuitto provide upto 40 mAof output current. The
LM2665 can also workasa voltage dividerto splita
voltagein the rangeof 1.8Vto11Vin half.
The LM2665 operatesat 160-kHz oscillator frequency reduce output resistance and voltage ripple. With operating current of only 650 µA (operating
efficiency greater than 90% with most loads) and
1-µA typical shutdown current, the LM2665 provides
ideal performancefor battery powered systems.
