DescriptionThe LM2592HV seriesof regulators are monolithic
integrated circuits that provideall the active functions
fora step-down (buck) switching regulator, capableof
drivinga 2-A load with excellent line and load
regulation. These devices are availablein fixed output
voltagesof 3.3 V,5 V, and an adjustable output
version.
This seriesof switching regulatorsis similarto the
LM2593HV, but without someof the supervisory and
control featuresof the latter.
Requiring a minimum number of external
components, these regulators are simpleto use and
include internal frequency compensation, improved
line and load specifications, anda fixed-frequency
oscillator.
The LM2592HV operatesata switching frequencyof
150 kHz, thus allowing smaller sized filter
components than what would be needed with lower
frequency switching regulators. Available in a
standard 5-pin package with several different lead
bend options, anda 5-pin surface mount package.
