General Description
The LM1951isa high current, high voltage, high side (PNP)
switch witha built-in error detection circuit.
The LM1951is guaranteedto deliver1 Amp output current
andis capableof withstandingupto g85V transients.The
built-in error detection providesan errorflag output under
the following fault conditions: output shortto groundor sup-
ply, open load, current limit, overvoltageor thermal shut-
down.The LM1951will driveall typesof resistiveor induc-
tive loads.The outputhasa built-in negative voltage clamp b30V)to providea quick energy discharge pathfor
inductive loads.The LM1951 features TTLand CMOS com-
patible logic input withhysteresis.Switching times, bothturnandturnoff,are2 ms(Cloadk 0.005 mF).In addition,its
quiescent currentinthe OFF stateis typically less than
0.1mAat room temperatureand less than10mA overthe
entire operating temperatureand voltage range.
The LM1951 features makeit well suitedfor industrialand
automotive applications.
