Dynamic Noise Reduction System DNR®
General DescriptionThe LM1894isa stereo noise reduction circuitfor use with
audio playback systems. The DNR systemis non-
complementary, meaningit doesnot require encoded source
material. The systemis compatible with virtuallyall prere-
corded tapes and FM broadcasts. Psychoacoustic masking,
and an adaptive bandwidth scheme allow the DNRto
achieve10 dBof noise reduction. DNR can save circuit
board space and cost becauseofthe few additional compo-
nents required.
